When You Need Financial Help For Vet Care

If your best friend needs emergency care and you cannot afford it, consider companies that offer individual grants to help with expenses. Here are a few to consider. Please search the internet for others. Feel free to apply to multiple ones at the same time to improve the chance for approval. We wish you and your wonderful companion the very best.

  • frankiesfriends.org – They may assist when your pet needs emergency or specialty care, has been seen by a veterinarian and you can show financial need.
  • redrover.org – Intended to fill small gap in funding that is keeping a pet from care. Your pet must have a life-threatening injury or illness, there must be a current diagnosis and treatment plan from the veterinarian, and your income does not exceed $60/year.
  • peanutfund.org – Provides financial assistance for pets with medical issues in low-income families.
  • shakespeareanimalfund.org – In Florida, they serve only Alachua county. They offer a number to call and discuss your situation. When approved, their coordinator contacts your vet detailing how much they can help.
  • livelikeroo.org – rovides support and financial assistance to families whose pet faces a cancer diagnosis.
  • waggle.org – This organization collaborates with you to implement a fundraiser to help your pet. See their website for more on how it works.
  • lexieslove.com – Provides funding assistance for non-emergency care such as cancer treatments, diabetes control, kidney disease, etc. The family will need a veterinarian referral.
  • banfieldfoundation.org – This is their HOPE fund that offers financial assistance for income-qualified pet owners whose pet is suffering from an immediately life-threatening condition. You do not need to be an existing Banfield Pet Hospital client to apply for HOPE Funds, but treatment and the application process will need to be done at a Banfield Pet Hospital. They list them on their site.
  • themosbyfoundation.org – Helps qualified limited-income pet parents facing extenuating veterinary circumstances.
  • browndogfoundation.org – Bridges the gap between the cost of medical care and saving the family pet.
  • onyxandbreezy.org – Provides assistance when medical hardship is present.

NOTE: If you have not been able to get this support timely, please send an email to ARKsaves@gmail.com. Please give a brief description of your animal’s situation and provide your phone number. We will contact you to see if we can help with a small donation to start getting your animal medical care and give you time to seek other options.
